The American Blanket Company difference starts with gathering the right materials. We use only the best polyester yarns and fabrics available in the world market. These fine micro-denier fibers create the ultra soft, supple touch, warmth and durability. Very few fabrics go through the painstaking processes applied to our fabrics. All of our Peaceful Touch™, Supple Touch™, and Luster Loft™ fabrics go through multiple brushing and shearing steps to ultimately create a non-pilling and non-shedding blanket. Our fabrics are brushed and sheared on both the face and the back of each blanket 6 times to achieve the smooth non-pilling finish. These steps are what differentiate us from the rest of the Fleece and Pile blankets in the market. It costs us more for both the raw materials and the added processing time but it is the only way we can feel comfortable about what the end product will be.

Our stitching process is done using a multi needle top and bottom cover stitch machine. This machine uses 5 cones of thread and creates an added level of durability while providing a nice decorative stitch around the hem of the blanket. We prefer to use a self-fabric hem as apposed to satin binding. Satin binding tends to break down and fray after multiple launderings. Our fabrics are much more durable than the satin and will prolong the life of our blankets. Our fabrics are also softer than the satin so we prefer to have our fabric be the first point of contact when it touches your face or other part of your body. We are not trying to cover up a less soft fabric with a soft satin binding to create a sense of comfort. Our fabrics are all the softest, warmest, most plush fabrics available in each of there respective categories.

Our business model does not revolve around sourcing a lower cost fabric to hit a price point directed by a retailer, but our model is designed around building the best blanket we can while providing a great value to the end user.  We invest more into each fabric, stitch, and packaging but ultimately you have the best we can create. We focus on the details that are essential to making a long-lasting product. Behind each American Blanket is a hand meticulously working, and a heart that loves to build product that makes people feel good.
